History
The Idea to build a bicycle brand under the name Clamont started in 1978.
In 1979 Alex Fulcher bought photos back from Germany of the East German funny bikes, and Geoff Scott who was riding professionally at the time was inspired to build one.
1980 the first prototypes were built.
1981 four track bikes were built for the World Championships in Brno, Czech Republic.
1982 – Frames for the road teams time trial were built for the Commonwealth games in Brisbane. Both Road and track teams pursuit were built
1984 – Gold was won in the LA Olympics teams pursuit for track on one of Geoffs frames.
